A chicken poultry processing plant, also known as a slaughtering unit, is a facility where chickens are processed for meat consumption. The process involves various stages from the arrival of live birds to the production of poultry products suitable for sale.

Processed poultry products are packaged for distribution. Packaging can include bulk packaging for commercial clients or consumer packaging for retail.

The chicken by-products, such as bones, fat and feathers are put to the Rendering plant, which involves the conversion of these by-products into valuable powder which is rich in protein and oil, later used as a feed supplement or as a component of pet food.
An Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) is used in treating the wastewater generated from various processes such as slaughtering, evisceration, chilling, washing, and cleaning. The water is treated and contamination is reduced below 100 ppm and reused for agricultural purpose.
Cleaning and sanitation procedures are conducted regularly to meet industry and regulatory standards.
