Biogas production, i.e., Methane gas from poultry manure involves anaerobic digestion, where microorganisms break down organic matter in the absence of oxygen. The power generated is used to our poultry operations. The resulting slurry is separated into solid and liquid components both are nutrient-rich and can be utilized as fertilizers.
Anaerobic Digestion is a waste to energy conversion process – it is not a waste “disposal” process. It has “reduce, reuse and recycle” approach to lessening the pollution load, better as a plant fertilizer & release of renewable energy”.
The collected manure is placed in a sealed, oxygen-free digester. Here, naturally occurring bacteria decompose the organic matter, producing biogas as a byproduct. This biogas primarily consists of methane (CH4) and carbon dioxide (CO2).
We have adopted scrubbing system where the gas is pressurized through blower and then the harmful impurities like H2S, CO2 and some mercaptans are to be removed before feeding to engine to avoid its corrosion.
The clean gas after these impurities’ removal is stored in balloon and then fed to 100% biogas run engine, we use specially made engines developed by Kirloskar after thorough R & D and profound ground work.
Our Biogas plant contribute to sustainable waste management and the production of renewable energy, offering a solution for Poultry waste utilization.
The above process describes that, Zero discharge effluent from Biogas Plant and waste water is re-circulated through Biogas process.
